Mt. Shasta sits at 14,179’ and is one of the tallest peaks in CA with some of the few remaining glaciers and towering views
We will attempt to summit via the beginner friendly Avalanche Gulch route as a climbing team using crampons, harnesses, ice axes, and ropes (*summit not guaranteed*)
Day 1 – Drive in, hike to base camp, introduction to mountaineering; Day 2 – summit day!; Day 3 – hike out and drive home
