Unearth a Story Escape Room

Registration Required. Please register for only one of the time slots. The session may include multiple groups in the room at the same time. Limit 10 participants per timeslot. The experience is best suited for participants in Grades 3 and older. Participants under 12 years old must have an adult participant present in the room. Please register each individual who will be in the room.
We are celebrating America’s 250th birthday and the Summer Reading theme, Unearth a Story.
Did you ever imagine what 2026 would look like if the signing of the Declaration of Independence never happened or if the British won the American Revolution? Gather your family and friends and travel through time to 1776 and make sure the Founding Fathers sign the Declaration of Independence and the American colonists win the war. Along the way be prepared to navigate through space and time. You will need to use your detective skills to unravel the layers of history. Perhaps you will see a dinosaur or two. Hopefully you don’t come across any mummies and make sure you don’t raid any tombs. If you have a friend like Indiana Jones, Benjamin Gates, or Carmen Sandiego bring them along so you can easily head back to the future!
You will only have one hour to complete this mission and then safely escape to 2026 in order to save life as we know it!
What is an escape room? It is a fun time filled with adventure and challenge. Your team must break free from the room in 1 hour by finding clues, solving puzzles, and breaking codes to find a key to escape the room! Don’t worry, everyone gets to go home at night, including the librarians.
This program will be held in the library’s multipurpose room.
