Junior Genealogy: Digging Into Your Family Tree (For Grades K-5)

Join us for a series of engaging programs focused on genealogy and preserving family memories at the Lower Macungie Library. For younger participants in grades K-5, "Junior Genealogy: Digging Into Your Family Tree" invites kids to learn the basics of genealogy through storytelling, simple vocabulary, and a creative art project. They'll begin creating their own mini family tree, which can be completed with a parent’s help at home.

For adults, "Preserving Your Legacy" encourages participants to safeguard cherished heirlooms and family memories. Each month will explore different ways to create keepsakes and albums that capture important milestones and memories for the next generation. In July, in celebration of America’s 250th birthday, enjoy a special session on compiling a family memories album led by library Executive Director Debbie Jack.
