A Visit With Betsy Ross

In honor of America’s 250th birthday and the Summer Reading theme, Unearth a Story, Carol Spacht will give a historical interpretation of Betsy Ross.
Everyone knows the story about Betsy Ross and the making of our flag, but what about the real woman behind the legend? Betsy’s life spanned decades. She was widowed three times and often was the sole provider for her family. As a flag maker, Betsy relied upon the skills and training that she received as a young apprentice in the upholstery trade. Enjoy an entertaining and educational visit with Betsy Ross!
Tonight’s program is best suited for adults however teens and older elementary students are invited to attend as well.
This program will be held in the library’s multipurpose room.
Registration preferred. Walk-ins welcome.
