Local Queer Author Meet & Book Signing

Join us for this special author talk and book signing as part of the Fremont Pride Fair. All four authors are locals of the Bay Area, with books for all ages and topics. You will find adult non-fiction to children's picture books, teen graphic novels, memoirs, poetry, and so much more! All books provided are free. Meet authors: Lio Min , a poet, music reporter, and author of "Beating Heart Baby" and "The L. O. V. E. Club" María Mínguez Arias , an essayist, translator, editor, and author of "Nombrar el cuerpo", "Patricia sigue aquí", and "Naming the Body: A Queer Woman's Restorative Mapping of the Self" MariNaomi , a graphic novelist, cartoonist, and author of "I Thought You Loved Me", "Dirty Produce", the Life on Earth series, "I Thought YOU Hated ME", "Turning Japanese", "Dragon’s Breath and Other True Stories", and more! Nidhi Chanani , an illustrator, speaker, and author of "Pashmina", "Super Boba Cafe", "Shark Princess", and illustrator of "I Will Be Fierce!", "Strong", and more! No registration is required, but space and supplies are limited. A line will form outside the library main entrance prior to the event starting and tickets will be handed out to ensure a spot. Library staff may take photos, videos, or audio recordings at our events. Please tell us if you do not wish to be photographed, video-recorded, or audio-recorded. We will always respect your requests. An ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter or closed captioning can be provided for this program if requested at least seven (7) days in advance.
