Historic Tuscaloosa

Historic Tuscaloosa is a non-profit organization founded in 1966, dedicated to preserving and promoting the historical and cultural heritage of the Tuscaloosa area. Their mission is to foster community awareness and appreciation for local history. The organization actively protects, preserves, and revitalizes historic sites, operating and maintaining several landmarks including The Old Tavern, Battle-Friedman House, Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion, McGuire-Strickland House, and the Murphy-Collins House (home of the Murphy African-American Museum).
