Visit the Gorgas House Museum from May 8 through September 25, 2026, to explore two compelling exhibits. The 'Made in America' Exhibit invites you to discover the American identity through artifacts from each decade, celebrating the ingenuity and progress of Americans, in collaboration with America 250. Concurrently, the 'Clara Maass: She Gave Her Life' Exhibit honors the legacy of Clara Maass, the nurse who sacrificed her life for medical research, showcasing her dedication to healing and saving lives. General admission for both exhibits is $2.00, with free entry for current University of Alabama faculty, staff, students, and members of certain organizations. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at 810 Capstone Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487. Parking is available for $5, with free parking on Saturdays in university spaces. For inquiries, contact Sonya Harwood-Johnson at 205-348-5906 or sonya.harwood@ua.edu.
