Join us at the Gorgas House Museum for two enriching exhibits, honoring American history and legacy. From July 1 to September 25, 2026, explore "Clara Maass: She Gave Her Life," which pays tribute to the dedicated nurse Clara Maass, who sacrificed her life for medical research that ultimately saved millions, highlighting her inspiring legacy.
Additionally, from May 8 to August 29, 2026, don't miss "Made in America," where you can discover American identity through various artifacts, from a 1778 grandfather clock to 2020s student magazines, showcasing the spirit of innovation and progress across centuries.
General admission for each exhibit is $2.00, with free entry for current University of Alabama faculty, staff, students, and members of associated organizations. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Parking is available for $5, with free parking on Saturdays.
