The North Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (NMSO) is a professional symphony orchestra based in Tupelo, Mississippi, dedicated to providing high-quality, professional live music for the citizens of North Mississippi. Founded in 1971, the NMSO unites musicians from Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Arkansas to present dynamic concert seasons. The orchestra emphasizes artistic excellence while fostering community engagement through accessible performances and educational initiatives, including in-school music programs, free public concerts, and sensory-friendly events for individuals with special needs.
