Otis Walker Band

Free show! The Otis Walker Band is a North Alabama powerhouse built on what they call “Musical Gumbo.” It’s a specific, seasoned blend of blues, soul, Southern rock, and deep-pocket groove. It is music shaped by Memphis roots, Muscle Shoals grit, and North Alabama heat.
Led by Otis Walker, the band’s sound is anchored by the roar of a Hammond B3 organ, honest songwriting, and a feel that leans as much on Southern storytelling as it does on the pocket. This isn’t a band trying to fit a formula or chase a trend. Their music pulls from Delta blues and NOLA funk with a heavy pinch of Southern rock, landing somewhere between raw and soulful.
The band’s story is rooted in both place and family. Otis was born in Memphis, a city where the blues is in the water. He later sharpened his craft in Muscle Shoals, the "Hit Recording Capital of the World," before the project found its footing in the vibrant music scene of Huntsville, Alabama. That geography matters. You can hear the river in the rhythm and the Shoals' soul in the melodies.
