Performing music from the 60‘s to modern Top 40 hits of today, George offers a songlist from a wide range of genres. From classic to modern rock, pop, country, jazz, instrumental, and even heavy rock and hip hop, his songlist is as diverse as his musical influences. In a live format, George has configurations as an acoustic solo, duo, or trio format - whatever is best for the venue or client. In any situation, it is a unique entertainment experience, one which allows the audience to choose the setlist for the evening as the show develops. George is a seasoned, full-time musician/entertainer with more than two decades of experience as a frontman/singer-player in bands of many formats. He is also a reputable guitar, bass and voice instructor who teaches all ages and skill levels. Combine these elements with an upbringing in a musical family and the result is a entertainer whose experience and balanced perspective enables him to understand, adapt and perform to the needs and subtleties of different crowds of all sizes, venues and situations. George also possesses a healthy sense of humor, which, along with the musical elements, he uses to personally engage and entertain crowds of all ages. He understands the difference between the required intimacy of an acoustic performance versus that of a full band and always prioritizes the entertainment and enjoyment of a venues’ regular customers and clients. Prior to the show, (where applicable) George distributes copies of his songlist, making it available to all in the audience. He stays open to and even calls for requests throughout his entire performance! Sonically, Furious George creates a big, unique sound as a soloist that at times has been mistaken for two or three piece group! This is done through his use of multi-instrumental knowledge, meticulous musicianship, creative use of looping and effects and careful attention to detail - all of it done live, without the use of backing tracks. As a trio, even more ground is covered by the band, including songs with horn and keyboard arrangements that are not conventional to a trio format. Furious George is also one of the only solo artists to utilize a 7 string acoustic guitar. It allows George to extend the low range of his sound into what is usually only a bassist’s territory, and to create arrangements that couldn’t be done with a traditional 6 string. For the audience, all this contributes a fuller and more interesting listening experience.
