I-10 Bridges Replacement Project in the La Mesilla Valley area - Learn More!
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT), in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is replacing not one, but four Interstate 10 bridges in the Mesilla Valley area of Doña Ana County. The bridges are located near mileposts 136.85–136.88 and 140.71–140.74. As part of the project, the bridges and surrounding roadway will be upgraded to meet current safety and design standards.
Why This Project is Needed?
Built in 1971, all four bridges are showing signs of age and wear. Replacing them will improve safety, enhance roadway stability, reduce future maintenance needs, and provide more reliable long-term travel along this section of I-10.
