Join us for "Tales of Our 250th: A Jonesborough History Variety Show," a vibrant series hosted at The Jackson Theatre and the McKinney Center from June to October, celebrating local history and America’s 250th birthday. Featuring a blend of skits, historians, re-enactors, musicians, and more, this event series showcases the rich tapestry of Jonesborough's stories and community heritage. Each performance, starting at 7:00 pm and lasting approximately 90 minutes, is Pay What You Can, with seat reservations available at Jonesborough.com/tickets.
Highlights include scenes from the acclaimed original play "The First and Last Town in Tennessee," written by Anne G’Fellers-Mason, and guided insights from historian Paul Fink, portrayed by Tim Herron. Programming includes themed evenings addressing significant historical topics:
- **June 25:** Embracing Historic Preservation with Dr. William Kennedy and The Ozone Rangers.
- **July 23:** Revolutionary War History featuring re-enactors from Sycamore Shoals and the Watauga Valley Fife and Drum Corps.
