Sensory Friendly Weekends

Details:

Explore our museum in a calm, accommodating setting during our Sensory Friendly Weekends. It's tailored for your family's comfort and enjoyment.
Second Saturday and Sunday of every month. One hour before the museum opens to the public.
Included with museum admission. Free for members and Museums for All participants.
Created especially for people who have sensory sensitivities, this dedicated time allows for a truly immersive and comfortable visit.
Crowds are limited, ensuring a peaceful and relaxed environment.

Our dimmed lighting creates a calming ambiance.

Exhibit sounds are lowered or even eliminated, reducing auditory stimulation.
We understand the importance of providing inclusive experiences for all visitors. That's why we're proud to announce that our museum is a Certified Autism Centerâ„¢ (CAC) by the prestigious International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Services (IBCCES). This recognition reflects our commitment to understanding and supporting individuals with autism and other sensory sensitivities.
Don't miss out on this special event! Pre-order your tickets now (nmglstore.org/products/sensory-friendly-mornings-admission) or purchase at the door upon arrival. Regular admission rates apply. Free for members and Museums for All participants (families and individuals receiving SNAP benefits).
