Details:
Join us this fall for a deep dive into the world of shorebirds. Little St Simons Island’s seven miles of beach host thousands of migrating shorebirds each year like the Whimbrel, Red Knot, and Piping Plover, and we’re excited to offer this three-day program for those interested in learning more about shorebird conservation and research. Located within a site of hemispheric importance to shorebirds, this event is a unique opportunity to learn more about shorebirds in their natural habitat. Guest ornithologists join our staff naturalists on excursions highlighting the abundance of species that flock to our beaches, in addition to standard naturalist-guided adventures.
Please note: If only one half of a couple would like to participate in the special shorebird event, the other is welcome to join the regular naturalist programs – just let us know you’ll only have one shorebird event participant when you book!
Availability is limited. Call 888-733-5774 between 9 am and 5 pm ET daily, email Lodge@LittleSSI.com, or visit our website.
