Join the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library on Saturday, June 27, at 2:00 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room for "Exploring Ice Age Ohio: Unearthing the Story of Mastodons, Mammoths, and other Ice Age Beasts," part of the 2026 Summer Reading Program “Unearth a Story.” Led by Dr. Peg Yacobucci from Bowling Green State University, this event will transport participants back over 10,000 years to uncover Ohio's Pleistocene landscapes and its iconic wildlife, including woolly mammoths, mastodons, and giant beavers. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to view and handle actual mammoth and mastodon fossils from northwest Ohio.
