Details:
The Thomasville History Center’s 34th Annual Pilau Dinner, sponsored by Thomasville National Bank, returns Tuesday, November 3, 2026!
For generations, pilau dinners have been a cherished Election Day tradition across South Georgia, bringing neighbors together over a shared meal and community fellowship.
Each $12 plate includes pilau, coleslaw, pickles, crackers, and dessert. Plates may be enjoyed on the History Center grounds or picked up to-go from our convenient Jerger Street drive-thru pickup line.
Guests who stay on campus are invited to enjoy a relaxed evening beneath the oaks with live acoustic music by Blue Burden, a cash bar provided by Hubs and Hops, and a family-friendly hangout area on the History Center grounds.
This year’s Pilau Dinner is especially meaningful as Thomasville’s Bicentennial year nears its close, offering another opportunity to celebrate the places, stories, and traditions that connect our community across generations.
Tickets go on sale October 1.
Proceeds support the History Center’s ongoing work to preserve the historic places, collections, and stories that define Thomasville and the Red Hills region.
Plate Includes: Pilau, coleslaw, pickles, crackers, and dessert — $12
