The Temecula Valley Historical Society, founded in 2001, is dedicated to identifying, preserving, and promoting the historical legacy of the Temecula Valley and educating the public about its significance. They operate the Little Temecula History Museum, which features numerous artifacts and interactive exhibits that allow visitors to experience the area's history firsthand. Exhibits include a replica Butterfield Stagecoach, a blacksmith's forge, a restored chuck wagon, and displays of early 20th-century domestic life. The museum also showcases items from the original Vail Ranch. The society engages in various projects, such as placing historical markers, restoring landmarks, and organizing educational programs and local field trips.
