Summer in the Park is a beloved community program that has been a staple in Taylor for over 20 years, evolving from its original focus on Midnight Basketball to a comprehensive summer initiative designed for youth engagement. This free program invites children and teens to Fannie Robinson Park to participate in a variety of activities including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and arts & crafts, all while fostering a safe and welcoming environment. With the support of local organizations and businesses, nutritious meals are provided to all participants, ensuring that every child has access to both recreation and nourishment. Summer in the Park aims to create an inclusive and fun space where youth can thrive, build skills, and connect with friends throughout the summer months. Partnerships for Summer 2026 include the Taylor Lions Club, First United Methodist Church, St Paul Lutheran Church, and many others, all contributing to an enriching experience for the kids.
