**Summer in the Park 2026 Description**

For over two decades, Summer in the Park has been a beloved tradition in the Taylor community, evolving from its original concept of Midnight Basketball into a comprehensive free program that promotes positive youth engagement. This initiative offers children and teens the opportunity to connect with friends, stay active, and have fun throughout the summer months at Fannie Robinson Park. Participants can enjoy a range of activities including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and arts & crafts, all in a safe and structured environment designed to foster skill-building and creativity.

Thanks to strong partnerships with local organizations and businesses, every child attending the program receives meals, ensuring their well-being while they engage in recreational activities. As Summer in the Park continues to evolve, its mission remains steadfast: to create an inclusive, safe, and enjoyable space for youth to thrive. The initiative is supported by numerous local partners, including Beyond Wow Plumbing, Taylor Lions Club, and Rotary Club of Taylor, all dedicated to providing an enriching summer experience for children and families in the community.
