Summer in the Park is a cherished community program in Taylor that has been fostering positive youth engagement for over 20 years. Originally started as Midnight Basketball, it has expanded into a diverse array of free activities for children and teens throughout the summer. This initiative offers a safe and welcoming environment where participants can enjoy evenings filled with sports—such as basketball and soccer—alongside arts and crafts, enabling them to stay active and connect with friends.

Operated in Fannie Robinson Park, Summer in the Park ensures that all attendees have access to meals, thanks to partnerships with local organizations and businesses. The program's core mission remains to provide a structured, fun, and inclusive space where youth can thrive during the summer months.

In 2026, Summer in the Park is proud to partner with various local organizations, including Beyond Wow Plumbing, the Taylor Lions Club, and ReMax Realty, to enhance the experience for all participants. Join us for a summer of fun, creativity, and community spirit!
