Summer in the Park

**Summer in the Park** is a beloved community program in Taylor that has been enriching the lives of local youth for over 20 years. Initially launched as Midnight Basketball, it has evolved to include a wide array of activities designed to promote positive youth engagement. This free summer initiative offers children and teens a safe, welcoming environment where they can stay active and connect with friends through sports like basketball and soccer, as well as arts and crafts.

Held throughout the summer at Fannie Robinson Park, the program emphasizes fun and skill-building while ensuring that every participant has access to nourishing meals, thanks to strong partnerships with local organizations and businesses, including the Taylor Lions Club and ReMax Realty. As it continues to grow and adapt, Summer in the Park remains committed to creating an inclusive and enjoyable space where youth can thrive and enjoy their summer.
