Details:
For over 20 years, Summer in the Park has been a staple of the Taylor community—providing a safe, welcoming space where youth can get outdoors, stay active, and connect with friends all summer long. What began as Midnight Basketball has grown into a much broader program, offering a variety of activities beyond the court while maintaining its original mission of positive youth engagement.
Held throughout the summer, this free program invites kids and teens to enjoy evenings filled with art & crafts, basketball, dodgeball, and more. It’s designed to give participants a fun, structured environment where they can build skills, stay active, and simply enjoy being kids.
Thanks to strong partnerships with local organizations and businesses, meals are provided to all participants—ensuring that every child who attends has access to both recreation and nourishment.
Summer in the Park continues to evolve, but its purpose remains the same: creating a safe, inclusive, and fun space for youth to thrive during the summer months.
