Out of Yakima, Washington, has an unusual sound that can be likened to deranged saloon music, a twist of New Orleans street jazz with a sprinkle of carnival-style circus punk.
Established in 2017 as a duo, “Rayko Stanislav” (Raymond Malstead) and “Holiday Dan” (Daniel Koenig) started making a cacophony of sounds from a 100-year-old upright grand piano and an old drum kit. Together, the two fused a range of raucous tunes that eventually, after a year of teasing and cajoling, made a full set.
Chris Nobbs joined later with his valve trombone, then Roly Espino and Nathan McCartney rounded out the horn section with the trumpet and tuba.
Los Mal Hablados
A Latin skacore band from Portland, Oregon. They started just one year ago but have been hitting stages all across the Pacific Northwest, opening for Fishbone, The Mad Caddies, The Bandulus, Joker’s Republic, and Matamoska!, among others. With their political lyrics, fire horn section, and driving guitar riffs, their shows have the crowd skanking one minute and forming a hardcore pit the next.

A folk/punk group out of (mostly) Tacoma, Washington with reviews like "so rad", "Boot stompin', big tent revival, roots rock!" and "ThemmdamnnanimalsisbacmagAAAAIIIN"
Swedey
Grungegaze from the Pacific Northwest.
Swedey (pronounced like Sweetie) is a four-piece rock band from the Pacific Northwest blending the grit of grunge with the shimmer of shoegaze into what they call "Grunge-Gaze"—a riff-driven, emotionally charged sound that’s as heavy as it is hypnotic. Formed by longtime friends and collaborators, Swedey is a project born from friendship, healing, and a shared love of sound. Their music is raw, melodic, and deeply human, anchored by lived experience and a passion for connection.
