Seattle changed rock music forever, and on Saturday, June 27, Airport Tavern Music Hall turns the volume all the way up for a full-on tribute to the sound that shook the world.
THE GRUNGE SHOW brings together three powerhouse tribute acts dedicated to recreating the grit, weight, melody, and raw emotional force of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic bands. This is more than a night of covers — it’s a full-tilt celebration of the songs, tone, and attitude that made Nirvana, Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Alice In Chains essential.

Leading the charge is Negative Creep, delivering the chaos, urgency, and stripped-down punch of Nirvana. From the blast of the guitars to the ragged, explosive energy at the center of every performance, Negative Creep taps into the spirit that made Nirvana so undeniable: loud, cathartic, uneasy, and unforgettable.

Also on the bill is Outshined, a Seattle-based tribute act built by top local musicians with a deep commitment to faithfully recreating the sound of Soundgarden and Temple of the Dog. Rather than leaning on costumes or impersonation, the band focuses on getting the music right — painstakingly dialing in the detail, power, and atmosphere of the original recordings while delivering the kind of live energy those songs demand.

Rounding out the night is Jar of Flies, honoring the dark harmonies, heavy grooves, and haunting melodic weight of Alice In Chains. Their set taps into the tension and depth that made Alice In Chains one of the most distinctive bands of the era — balancing crushing riffs with that unmistakable vocal interplay and sense of unease that still hits just as hard today.
