The Chesapeake Baysox are a Minor League Baseball team based in Bowie, Maryland, serving as the Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles and competing in the Eastern League. Previously known as the Bowie Baysox from 1993 to 2024, the team rebranded to Chesapeake Baysox to reflect a broader fan base that extends across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. The organization is committed to providing affordable, family-friendly entertainment and exceptional customer service in a welcoming atmosphere at their home stadium, Prince George's Stadium. Beyond baseball games, the Baysox engage in community initiatives, such as their "Oyster Catchers" campaign in partnership with Cervivor, Inc., to raise awareness and funds for cervical cancer advocacy and education.
