South Austin Donor Center

Join us for a crucial blood donation drive at the Millipore Sigma front parking lot, in collaboration with KAPS Charter School and the South Austin Donor Center. By donating whole blood, you can help save lives; each pint donated is separated into red cells, plasma, and platelets for local hospital transfusions. We aim to collect around 200 donations daily to meet the local demand. The donation process, which includes a brief personal history and wellness exam to ensure eligibility, typically takes about 45 minutes to an hour, while the actual donation lasts 15-35 minutes.
