Assunpink Wildlife Management Area

Assunpink Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is a 6,300+ acre public land managed by the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife. It encompasses fields, forests, and wetlands, featuring three lakes: Lake Assunpink, Stone Tavern Lake, and Rising Sun Lake. The area provides diverse recreational opportunities including hunting, fishing, bird watching, dog training, and horseback riding. It serves as a habitat for various wildlife species and is home to NJ Fish and Wildlife's Central Region Office. The WMA was established for flood control, wildlife habitat enhancement, and public recreation.
