Teens ages 14-17: Want to earn volunteer hours this summer? Submit a teen volunteer application and join us for Teen Volunteer Orientations at the Louise Childs Library! Submit your teen volunteer application (including a signed consent form and medical note showing good health) by June 13th and register to attend one of our Teen Volunteer Orientation sessions at the branch where you intend to volunteer to get the details, rules, and answers to any questions you may have. You must attend an orientation session before you can start earning volunteer hours. Two sessions are available at the Louise Childs Library: Tuesday, June 16th at 7pm OR Saturday, June 20th at 3pm you only need to attend one! Registration is required. New volunteers must attend an orientation program at the branch where they intend to volunteer. Volunteer applications are available at all branches and online. Please note that all teen volunteer applications for the summer must be completed (including supplemental materials*) and submitted to the Sussex County Library System by Saturday, June 13th. A Parent/Guardian must sign the Volunteer Interest Application for minors (under 18 years old) and minors must submit a medical note presenting proof of good health.
