Come join us in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of our Independence!
The United States is celebrating its 250th anniversary (Semiquincentennial) of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th.

Come early and set up your chairs or blankets on the New Berlin Commons along Penns Creek, then head up to the Fireman’s Carnival at Liberty and Plum Streets to enjoy everything the carnival has to offer. Around 9:30, make your way back to the Commons to sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Before the fireworks light up the sky, join us for two of New Berlin's favorite family traditions at the New Berlin Commons!
TURTLE RACES
Registration: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Turtle Talk by Poe Valley State Park: 6:00 PM
Race Begins: Approximately 6:30 PM
Bring your turtle and learn about Pennsylvania's native turtle species before cheering them on in the race!
Trophies will be awarded for
1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place
Plus Great Job medals for all participants!

Turtle Guidelines:
• Only turtles that are not endangered, threatened, or of special concern may participate
• Please keep turtles cool, shaded, and handled gently
• After the race, return your turtle to the exact place where you found it to keep it safe and healthy
