Under the Cover is South Carolina's first Romance Bookstore & Wine Bar, proudly woman- and veteran-owned. Opened in June 2024 in Sumter, SC, the store offers a diverse selection of romance novels, from bestsellers to indie favorites and local authors, catering to all moods from sweet to spicy. Complementing the books, they serve curated wines, prosecco, mimosas, cider, and craft beer. The establishment aims to be a cozy, welcoming space for book and wine lovers, also hosting events like author signings and supporting local vendors and a cat rescue for adoption.
