The Elephant Ear Gallery was organized in 2010, offering art and fine craft space to artists in Sumter and the surrounding community. It has been a bonus to the community and to each artist. The community gets the benefit of local art while the artists are housed in a safe, clean and environmentally protected area at an affordable price. Each artist works one day per month for each space his art is displayed, and gives the public a chance to see "artists at work" nearly every day.
