Join us for a guided hike through one of South Carolina’s most unique state parks as we explore both the natural beauty and Revolutionary War history of the region in advance of America's 250th anniversary. This 3.2-mile hike along the Scout and Coquina Trails will feature stories of the Battle of Halfway Swamp and other Revolutionary War events that shaped Sumter County. Along the way, participants will visit historic sites including Singleton’s Grist Mill, the Historic Overlook Shelter, and the Coquina Shelter while learning about the area's Revolutionary War heritage and Civilian Conservation Corps legacy.
