The Mar-Tans

The Mar-Tans serve up New Orleans Funk and R&B along the lines of Professor Longhair and the Funky Meters. Mix in some Memphis Soul, jazz, blues, and latin and you’ve got a night of music everyone is going to enjoy.
The lineup includes keyboardist/singer Matt Wauchope, Dashill Smith on trumpet, Will Scruggs on sax, percussionist Terrence Prather, drummer Darren Stanley, and Evan Sarver on bass.
We’re proud to have this fantastic ensemble on the stage. Members have played with Sean Costello, The Blind Boys of Alabama, ATL Collective, Larkin Poe, Roy Ayers, The Common Ground Collective, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Perpetual Groove, Delta Moon, Southern Ave, Ghost Note, and many many more.
