In the autumn of 1943, Fr. Joseph Luniewski commissioned Fr. Walter Pelczynski to find a suitable residence for a Marian novitiate. The Marians acquired Eden Hill on November 24, 1943, a site rich in history, previously home to a mission for the Stockbridge Indians. Originally built as Eden Hall in 1906, it later became St. Edmund's School before the Marians transformed it into a community chapel dedicated to Divine Mercy. After years of preparation and effort, they completed the Shrine of The Divine Mercy in 1960, now a spiritual haven for countless pilgrims.
