The St. Marys Community Public Library hosts creative writing classes every Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Join us to create colorful characters and worlds. Located in the Young Adult section of the library. Participants will write stories based on themes as follows: July 16th, Flash-fiction road trip; July 23rd, Flash-fiction: bedtime story; July 30th, Essay: one-word challenge (poetry edition). The process of writing encourages critical thinking. Organizing thoughts into coherent narratives requires analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information effectively. Writing nurtures creativity and imagination. Writers can create worlds, characters, and stories that reflect their interests, dreams, and unique perspectives. Teens can use this class to help build characters for future projects like their own stories, comic books, and video games.
