Thomas Cole and Dard Hunter America 250 Exhibits, sponsored by Bookmarx Bookstore:
Thomas Cole was the genre-defining landscape artist, known for introducing America to the beauty and grandeur of its own, natural views, and for introducing the world to a unique, and "100% American" style of art.
Dard Hunter was a designer of the Arts and Crafts / Art Nouveau school whose patterns, motifs, and fonts still decorate American design today.
They share this in common: they both got their start in Steubenville, Ohio. Come see prints of their most world famous works and read about these local heroes.
