Join us for a weekend of fun at Thousand Hills State Park and Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park from July 18 to July 20, 2025! Kick off the festivities with "Christmas in July," where you can bring your holiday spirit to the park. Transform your campsite into a Christmas village for a chance to win prizes, participate in an ugly sweater fashion show, enjoy crafts and Christmas treats, and listen to Native American Christmas tales. The events culminate in the lighting of the park Christmas tree and a drive through the beautifully decorated campsites.
On July 19, immerse yourself in the "Marvelous Mammals" program at Thousand Hills, where park staff will showcase the incredible mammals of the area. This free event begins at 10 a.m. and does not require registration. Join us for these exciting celebrations and make lasting memories!
