A Life in Color: 65 Years of Art by Joanne Bolton Opening Reception: Friday, July 11 · 5–7PM · Art Hive · Free Join us for a very special evening as we celebrate Staunton’s own Joanne Bolton and her incredible 65-year journey in art. “A Life in Color” is a sweeping retrospective that honors a lifetime of creativity, talent, and storytelling through both visual art and poetry. Joanne’s work has won awards and captured hearts—not just here in Staunton, but far beyond. Over the years, her artistry has led to gallery exhibitions, professional commissions, and even projects involving Hollywood stars. She’s a painter, an illustrator, a poet, and a nature lover—and this show brings it all together. You’ll see everything from early sketchbook pieces to bold, expressive recent work, along with original poems that echo the subjects and emotions of her art. “Joanne has always been quietly extraordinary,” says curator Kirsten Schneider. “This is a rare chance to step into her world and witness the full arc of her creative life.” Come be inspired, moved, and reminded of what it means to devote a life to art. Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome. Exhibit Dates: July 11–31 Location: Art Hive, 835 Spring Hill Rd, Staunton Admission: Free Let’s honor a Staunton treasure. See you there!
