Summer in the City brings classic summer fun to the entire community! This series is made up of four different events hosted on Jones Center’s campus from June through September.
PICKLE-LOOZA: Join us at Jones Center for our third annual mixed doubles pickleball tournament! We’ll be serving up a lively competition and a seriously fun experience for all skill levels. Teams of two will compete through a bracket system with winners receiving medals and a year’s worth of bragging rights!
Participants aged 16 and older are welcome to join the tournament. Only one registration is needed per team.
TIME: 9am-4pm
COST: $50 per team
WHO: Teams of 2 players aged 16 or older; mixed gender or all female
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: August 12
TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE:
Max of 20 teams, 10 per bracket. Two brackets:
- Blue: 2.5-3.2 rating
- White: 3.3-3.9 rating
Phase 1: Pool Play (~4 hours)
- Four pools of 5 teams. Each team plays 4 matches.
- Tie breakers will be determined by the total points scored.
Phase 2: Bracket Play (~4 hours)
- Teams will be seeded in the bracket based on pool play. The top team in each pool will receive the most favorable position in the bracket, while the last-place team in each pool will receive the least favorable position.
- Double elimination.
