Details:
Join us for two informative live online webinars designed for parents and caregivers to enhance their understanding of early childhood development and essential life skills.
The first session, "Active Parenting First Five Years: Preventing Problems from Escalating," led by instructor Thelma Aviles, will cover critical aspects of brain development in early childhood. Participants will learn how to prevent accidents and issues, differentiate between discipline and punishment, and the significance of routines and affection in child-rearing. This 2-hour program aims to equip caregivers with practical strategies for supportive parenting.
The second session, "Mind in the Making Life Skill #4: Making Connections," instructed by Janna Mason, emphasizes the importance of making connections as a vital learning skill. Participants will explore how categorization and creativity relate to making connections, with objectives focused on understanding executive functions and symbolic representation. This Nevada Registry Approved session also lasts for 2 hours.
Both webinars include a knowledge check to reinforce learning outcomes. For further information or assistance, please contact the Professional Development Team at Children’s Cabinet or review our privacy policy.
