Join expert birders Bruce Szczechowski and Jim Bull for a morning of late summer birding as we walk the dikes at Pointe Mouillee State Game Area. This significant waterfowl habitat, part of one of North America's largest freshwater marsh restoration projects, spans 7,483 acres of wetlands and open water, nestled within the Atlantic and Mississippi flyways. Participants may spot a variety of migrating birds, including White Pelicans, Redheads, Scaups, Gadwalls, Common Goldeneyes, Buffleheads, Northern Pintails, and Northern Shovelers. We will meet in the Sigler Road parking lot—please note there are no bathrooms available. Five vehicles can drive onto the dikes, and volunteers will be needed to carpool.
