The Atomic Bombcatz are a band that plays upbeat classic rockabilly styles and sounds with a modern twist! The Atomic Bombcatz is a four piece, high-octane, rockabilly combo from Southeast Michigan with a style based on the energetic and nostalgic groove of the early rock & roll days, but with modern twists and updates pulling from not only the 50s and 60s but also the 70s and 80s that gets people dancing and shaking to its infectious retro sound. Band members include: Kyle Kipp (bass), Shay Allen (vocals), Scott Allen (guitar, vocals), AJ Khan (drums, vocals) The band’s four-part harmonies and humorous stage banter cap off the stage show and draw the audience in even more. The band’s influences range from Elvis, Eddie Cochran, Cash and Wanda Jackson all the way to more recent acts such as the Stray Cats, JD McPherson, and Imelda May. BUT, the real hook that gets people grooving are the 80’s covers that the band performs in a fun rockabilly style.
