YMCA Swim Meet & Free Assessments

Join us for the YMCA Swim Meet & Free Assessments, where developmental swim teams from various YMCA of Central Florida locations compete in a fun, welcoming environment. Each month, a different family center hosts the event, allowing families to cheer from the pool deck while swimmers gain valuable experience and potential team members explore the world of swim teams.

This event provides a fantastic opportunity for both new and experienced swimmers to watch a meet, meet our coaches, and take the next step in their swimming journey. The schedule typically includes Swim Team Assessments from 1:30–2:00 PM (with a 1:15 PM arrival), followed by warm-ups at 2:00 PM and the swim meet beginning at 2:30 PM. Attendees should bring their own chairs for poolside seating.

The free assessments, available for ages 6–17, are open to the Central Florida community and consist of an in-water evaluation with a YMCA coach, skill review, and personalized recommendations for developmental swim teams, competitive swim teams, or swim lessons.
