Westmoor Park

Westmoor Park is a 162-acre environmental, agricultural, and horticultural education center operated by the Town of West Hartford's Leisure Services Department. Its mission is to foster a lifelong commitment to environmental awareness and responsible stewardship. The park features a demonstration farm with various animals, wildflower meadows, perennial gardens, woodland trails, and ponds, all open to the public. Westmoor Park offers a wide array of educational programs for all ages, focusing on farm and nature-related topics. It also supports initiatives like the "Plant-A-Row for the Hungry" program and was accredited as a Level II Arboretum in 2024. The park is self-funded through a trust fund, program fees, donations, and grants, with no public tax dollars used for operational expenses. Visitors can explore self-guided tree tours, enjoy nature trails, and learn about sustainable agriculture and local wildlife.
