Details:
Join us for a fun-filled summer at our Kite-Making Workshop and LEGO Club, designed for children ages 5 to 12. In the Kite-Making Workshop, participants (ages 6-12) will create their own beginner kite in a free, guided session that lasts 90 minutes, exploring basic aerodynamics and construction techniques. This workshop, part of the Newport Kite Festival's 40th Anniversary celebration, will culminate in an opportunity to fly the completed kites at the Festival on July 11-12 at Brenton Point State Park. Registration is required, and adult supervision is necessary for children under 8. Meanwhile, every Saturday, children can drop in at our LEGO Club to build with LEGOs in the Children's Program Room. No registration is necessary, and all materials stay at the library. Come join us for creativity and fun!
