Learn about the remarkable and indelible ways Portsmouth's Christian Shores neighborhood has changed from the pre-colonial period to the present day in this outdoor exploration of the Jackson House landscape. Together, participants will hear about the development of the neighborhood from Indigenous settlements to colonial agriculture, and from nineteenth-century industrialization and immigration to twentieth-century transportation networks.

Accessibility Considerations: Participants are encouraged to bring water bottles and sunscreen. This 90-minute walking tour is a mile in length and includes paved and unpaved roads and sidewalks, grassy parks and lawns, and steep hills.
