Make a Bee Habitat

Join us for a fun-filled morning at our "Make a Bee Habitat" event, where children can create homes for bees using everyday household items, led by Kaley Lawing, the Moore County 4-H Extension Agent. This educational craft activity is held in collaboration with the Great Southeast Pollinator Census and is perfect for families, as children must be accompanied by an adult.

In addition, be part of the Great Southeast Pollinator Census—an exciting Citizen Science Project led by the University of Georgia. Help count pollinators in the Gardens and contribute to vital data for pollinator conservation. During this engaging session, you'll learn how to identify different pollinators, the importance of pollinators for food production, and how your observations contribute to real research.

Both events are FREE, but please register in advance to ensure participation. Come get involved, learn something new, and help protect the vital pollinators that we all depend on!
