Read With Thor

Thor is a 4 year old Golden Retriever Therapy Dog with The Exceptional Sidekick. Thor along with his handler, Scott have been a Therapy Dog team since July 2023. Together they started a Read With Thor program in area libraries. We are happy to welcome this team to Newtown. Children of all ages and abilities can register for a 15 minute time slot to read with Thor in the childrens story hour room on the first floor. Parents are welcome to stay with their child during the session or remain nearby in the childrens department. Click here to schedule an appointment with Thor.
