Junior Lifeguard Info & Registration Day

Interested in becoming a future lifeguard? Join us for the Junior Lifeguard Program Information and Registration Day on Thursday, July 2 at 6:00 PM at the Palm Bay Aquatic Center. This session includes program information, swim testing, and registration. Space is limited, and dates and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Goggles are permitted during the swim test.
The Junior Lifeguard Program is designed to introduce youth to the essential skills of lifeguarding, including water rescues, CPR and first aid awareness, and personal safety in and around the water. Please note that this program is not a lifeguard certification course and does not certify participants to perform CPR or work as a lifeguard.
Program Details
-Ages: 12–14
-Cost: $80 per participant
-Program Dates: Monday, July 6 – Thursday, July 9
-Program Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM daily
-Limited Spots Available
Swim Test Prerequisites
Participants must complete the following skills without struggle to be accepted into the program:
-Step into the water from the side and completely submerge.
-Swim 50 yards using front crawl or breaststroke and exit the pool without using a ladder.
-Maintain position in the water for one minute by treading, floating, or a combination of both.
